The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for helping our patients get scheduled to see their doctors in the least amount of time.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming and outgoing calls including but not limited to new patient orientation, department scheduling, and asking to speak with a clinician.
Document patient information within various electronic systems.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of experience working in an administrative support role in a customer service, healthcare environment and/or in communications required.
Must be available to work as needed based on current demand.
Must be able to use computer/phone for extended periods of time.
Outstanding ability to use multiple software programs and equipment in a fast paced environment while assisting others.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal service skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
Demonstrated initiative and self-accountability with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Complying with D-H policies and standards for all actions related to their role
