Responsibilities

Greets and assists patients, clients, and relevant third parties via phone, email, and live web chat.
Addresses inquiries concerning procedures, processes, services, and status updates; refers matter to relevant team member as required.
Inputs medical records requests by accurately collecting and transcribing data into appropriate areas of assigned database system(s).
Ensures incoming authorizations are HIPAA compliant in all aspects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong computer skills; capable of utilizing Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Capability to follow HIPAA guidelines relative to sensitive document handling and destruction.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of administrative experience required; experience in a medical environment preferred.
