Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and policies in accordance with regulatory standards. This position requires travel and will support our Temecula, Amherst, Milford, Nashua and Bethlehem manufacturing facilities. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and health, ensuring that all safety practices are adhered to within the organization.
Duties
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees to enhance awareness of workplace hazards and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and EHS regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, inspections, and compliance issues, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with management to investigate accidents and incidents using root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and occupational health standards to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate first aid training sessions and ensure that first aid supplies are adequately stocked throughout the facility.
- Assist in the fabrication of safety equipment or modifications as necessary to improve workplace safety.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns within the organization.
Skills
- Proficient in report writing to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
- Strong ability in training development to create engaging and informative safety programs.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law, EHS standards, EPA regulations, OSHA guidelines, occupational health practices, first aid procedures, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess risks and implement effective solutions for workplace safety challenges.

Pay: $66,674.00 - $71,164.00 per year
