We are currently looking to add a
Controller to our team. By joining our team, you will be able to influence the direction of the company as we continue to grow our team.
As Controller you would be responsible for 60 employee manufacturing site with additional general shared responsibilities for revenue accounting across multiple sites. Role reports directly to CFO and has on site requirement in Londonderry, NH. Role may require travel to San Jose, CA once a year. Role would directly manage one AP/AR accountant.
As a Controller, You Would Be Excepted To
- Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
- Manage and perform day to day accounting activities for Semi-Gen, a $15M business and support select accounting functions for San Jose site.
- Perform a thorough review of balance sheet and income statement accounts - tasks to be performed include recommending/executing correcting entries, raising potential issues for discussion, identifying problem accounts, analyzing balances for accuracy and completeness, maintaining reconciliation schedules and proposing accrual or deferral entries as appropriate.
- Directly supervise one AR/AP accountant.
- Prepare weekly cash flow and standard monthly reporting package.
- Perform month end close and support preparation of financial statements reports.
- Work closely with Auditors and provide all backup and explanations for internal and external requests.
- Manage revenue schedules for multiple contracts.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience managing employees.
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
- Self motivated, with mindset of constant improvement
- Proficient with the use of ERP systems and ability to pull detail data to support account analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent time management, project management and planning skills required.
- High attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
