The Drafter is responsible for effective production, continuous improvement, and new product development in support of all manufacturing areas of the company. The successful candidate will work as a member of the engineering design team to develop systems capable of satisfying program functional and performance requirements. As a Drafter, qualified candidates will be responsible for the conceptual layout and detailed design of semiconductor fabrication drawings, assembly visual aids, and various fixturing using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Qualified candidates will be responsible for development of all associated detailed drawings.
Duties And Responsibilities - Develop detailed assembly and fabrication documentation for all product designs, as well as layout and detail design of the necessary mechanical components and assemblies using AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- Proficient with SolidWorks is required. SolidWorks certification is a strong plus!
- Proficient with AutoCAD is required. Ability to use Dynamic blocks, parametric features, and all latest software function is a strong plus!
- Develop detailed visual aids to support the assembly of manufactured products using Adobe Acrobat and various Microsoft Office elements.
- Work independently on small projects and/or contribute to large projects as a team member.
- Ability to create Photomasks for Semiconductor products derived from customer files.
- Proficiencies with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) required.
- Maintain the top system level CAD model for accuracy and design integrity.
- Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA).
- Prepare or direct the preparation of drawings and specifications per IAW ANSI Y14.5.
- Participate in internal team meetings to review designs, present progress or resolve technical design issues.
- Ensure quality through adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS), applicable standard work instructions and other standards imposed internally or contractually.
- Added responsibility to Drafter position: Maintain and coordinate established calibration systems for Test and Measurement equipment IAW NIST requirements. Knowledge of identifying equipment by name and function is preferred. Perform various simple internal verifications per Work Instructions is required. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Skills And Specifications
- AS Degree or equivalent related experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and phone communication.
- Knowledge and understanding of microelectronic manufacturing services and / or Semiconductor products preferred
- Experience with 3-D CAD software and Database Management tools, Solidworks, AutoCAD required. Adobe Acrobat highly recommended but willing to train.
