We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Buyer temporarily to be involved with procuring mainly electronics components as well as participating in several other Materials-related tasks:
- Reviewing requisitions and ensures proper signature approval for request. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
- Prepares purchase orders and maintains procurement records such as items and/or services, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories
- Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action
- Routinely expedites open orders and discusses issues with suppliers that are always delinquent
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer skills is required. Some experience and working knowledge of MRP systems along with experience in a manufacturing environment is also preferred. Knowledge of Made 2 Manage ERP system is a plus.
