The Opportunity
We are seeking a Director of Enterprise Applications to lead the management and optimization of systems supporting our clinical and operational teams. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you’ll oversee a team of application analysts, ensure customer support metrics are met, and take the lead on enterprise application interfaces and integrations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Your Impact
- Lead and manage the team of application analysts to ensure efficient and effective application support.
- Act as the lead for enterprise system interfaces and integrations, ensuring smooth interoperability.
- Collaborate with the CIO to develop and execute an application strategy across ConvenientMD.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and system interfaces.
- Understand and navigate policies affecting health information technologies (HIPAA, CEHRT, 21st Century Cures Act).
- Work with business stakeholders to create and implement support policies, programs, and SLAs.
- Maintain and document systems, automation processes, and operational deliverables.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure and optimize team efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams, leadership, and external stakeholders on application strategies.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in supporting clinical applications in an enterprise setting.
- 5+ years of experience in Health Information Technology, including EMR experience.
- Strong understanding of interoperability protocols (HL7, FHIR/SMART on FHIR, ADT, LOINC, CCD, C-CDA).
- Experience with API connectivity, LIS/RIS system interfaces, and integration.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and manage projects effectively.
- Willing to travel to CMD clinics in MA, NH, ME, and other locations as needed.
Bonus Qualifications
- Knowledge of AI-driven Voice/Ambient Listening technologies.
- Experience with Value-Based Care, Population Health platforms, and Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management systems.
- Proficiency in EMR implementations and workflow design.
