Position Information: Support position to the night warehouse operations
Primary Contribution to Amoskeag Beverages
- Transport materials from designated product stock areas in warehouse to the picking floor
- Maintain product levels and drop pallets as needed in a timely manner
- Maintain clear aisles and a clean work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with selectors to replenish out of stock
- Check out of code dates when restocking rotating stock properly by replenishing with the oldest product first
- Cut and remove plastic from pallets for ease of operation
- Assist with building Club Orders as directed
- Remove and stack empty pallets
- Move pallets of breakage to the designated area
- Perform daily equipment checks to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate and record equipment damage, needed maintenance or repairs
- Other various projects assigned by manager
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous warehouse, forklift, or pallet jack experience a plus
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Motivated, hard-worker that can take direction and work independently
- Able to execute tasks in an accurate, timely and safe manner while working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to pass Forklift Operations Certification per OSHA Standards
- Able to lift up to 160 lbs (kegs and/or cases)
Working Conditions & Physical Abilities
- Warehouse Environment- ability to work in varying temperatures with dust and noise
- Able to sit on a forklift for long periods of time and can adjust body position to reach, stand, kneel, bend, push, pull, or climb up and down
- Good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to assess weight and judge distances and heights
