Summary: The Director of Sales will be responsible for revenue growth and customer satisfaction at Sundial. You will be responsible for organizing, motivating and leading the company in residential and potentially commercial sales. Our current product line to residential customers includes Solar, Batteries, Electrical Upgrades, Chargers, mini splits, and geothermal heating and cooling. Direct residential sales is the cornerstone of this position and experience is required. Sundial operates on an educational, low-pressure sales model. We are successful with sales because of our years in the business, quality products, the quality and commitment of our team, and our google reviews. This position must have the ability to train and evaluate sales consultant’s abilities while focusing on achieving business goals, articulate Sundial’s value proposition, manage and track opportunities through the sales pipeline.
You must have a proven track record of growing a solar company and experience in residential solar sales.
Essential Functions & Job Duties: Drive revenue through sales; Manage, motivate, and mentor the team through the entire sales process and close sales. Ensure the highest level of attention is paid to lead conversion rates. Using reports and regular meetings to manage and track the process of converting leads from prospects to signed contracts. Ensure all team members maintain professionalism and proper etiquette through all forms of communication. Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to handle all escalated pertinent customer concerns/issues with all necessary internal departments and stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Finance) to maintain consistent teamwork. Provide accurate information in all reporting. Co-create measurable and achievable monthly objectives to address new business development, sales targets, managing existing business, and when necessary corporate objectives. Ownership of customer relations issues, both in a proactive and reactive capacity. Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Experience in the solar industry including sales management in Residential solar sales in New England is a key component of the position and experience. Previously demonstrated revenue growth Must have the highest standards for integrity and honesty Must be an action-oriented individual with a high sense of urgency to accomplish goals. Analytical skills or statistical background. Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff. Working knowledge of industry required. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Works well with management, peers, and direct reports. Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility, and have a desire to build world-class sales and support organization. Valid driver license. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
Working Conditions: Works under a variety of conditions both indoors and outdoors. May be working at home or in a typical office setting. May be working in a construction site exposed to the current weather conditions and elements.
