Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional customer service and technical expertise. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and sales skills to recommend services and repairs, fostering long-term relationships with our clients.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, including brake repair, shocks struts, and other automotive repairs.
- Create accurate service orders and transmit information to the service department for timely execution.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles throughout the service process.
- Utilize strong customer service skills to address inquiries and resolve any concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure all necessary work is performed efficiently and to high standards.
- Keep up-to-date with automotive technology trends and product knowledge to enhance sales opportunities.
- Assist in managing service appointments and maintaining an organized workflow within the service department.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a New Car dealership service advisor or a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in automotive repair is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and providing exceptional support.
- Experience in automotive service writing is a must.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers who may not have a mechanical background.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
