Summary And Essential Functions
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information;
- Assists with new-hire orientations, as needed;
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data;
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes;
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility;
- Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes;
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries;
- Responds to retirement plan inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts;
- Assists with the open enrollment process;
- Administers the tuition reimbursement program;
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges;
- Organize and facilitate annual Employee Benefit and Wellness Fair;
- Oversee Employee Discount Program including communications and annual review/revision of program;
- Facilitation of on-site employee sessions with retirement plan vendor, financial planner and other vendors as identified;
- Personnel file document processing and maintenance;
- Compliance with all Federal and State reporting requirements, laws and regulations regarding areas of responsibility, including on-site legal postings;
- Shares responsibility as point of contact for external customers, whether on the phone, via e-mail or walk-ins, including employment and mortgage verifications;
- Fielding inquiries from internal customers, including reporting requests related to areas of responsibility;
- Special projects and reporting as assigned in the areas of Human Resources, including turnover, benefit, leave statistics;
- Reviews and verifies vendor invoices prior to submission for processing and payment;
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities professionally and courteously.
Required
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
- Associates degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
- Two years’ experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
Preferred Certification/Registration: SHRM-CP/ CEBS
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
