Qualifications
■ Bachelor’s or equivalent and 5+ years of industry experience.
■ Experience with double-entry accounting is required. Some course work in accounting is also strongly preferred.
■ Experience with accounting software required.
■ Exceptional organizational skills sufficient to prioritize and complete assignments and projects independently, while balancing competing needs and attending to detail.
■ Experience working in an office environment, preferably in a product-based, technology or manufacturing company.
■ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
■ Judgment and prudent exercise of authority.
■ Knowledge of and experience using information technology tools, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet.
■ Comfortable on the phone – nice, confident personality
■ Strong analytical ability including basic high school level math skills.
■ General understanding of budget and accounting processes.
Job Description
■ Manage the day-to-day operations of front office.
■ Answer phones and take non-technical sales calls.
■ Provide administrative support for other staff.
■ Enter & process orders.
■ Communicate with customers about orders, shipping, billing etc.
■ Create & update contact files.
■ Prepare & ship samples.
■ Ship & receive materials.
■ Manage accounts payable and receivable.
■ Create financial and sales reports
■ Provide sales support
■ Various other short and long term projects depending on ability and skills (i.e. finance, HR, systems development)
