Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Assistant Project Manager - EPC for our client, a leading company in the natural gas and LNG sector. In this role, you will support the management and execution of large-scale LNG projects, working alongside a skilled team to ensure project success. This role offers you the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks, from overseeing design and procurement to providing field commissioning support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers with client relationship development, project execution, and managing schedules and budgets.
- Oversee design and manage all aspects of LNG projects, including liquefaction, storage, truck transfer, and vaporization.
- Report on project status, budget, and schedule to Project Managers, senior management, and project teams.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities such as construction site setup, contractor communications, and client reporting.
- Review design, procurement, and operational specifications for equipment and systems.
- Provide field commissioning and troubleshooting support during LNG plant startup and operations.
- Develop cost estimates and proposals for client requests.
- Work with engineering and design teams to develop drawings for fabrication and construction of plant piping and equipment systems.
- Collaborate with civil, electrical, process, and controls project groups to optimize project design.
- Travel to project sites approximately 10-15% of the time.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with hands-on field experience.
- Strong experience in cryogenic, natural gas, petrochemical, oil, or power systems design.
- Familiarity with LNG-related codes and standards (49CFR193, NFPA 59A, ASME B31.3, BPVC Section VIII).
- Experience specifying pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
- Ability to manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
- P.E. License desired.
