Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work from home while making a profound impact on the educational journeys of K-12 students with special needs. You will be working full-time from Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule of 30-37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the diverse needs of each student.
- Provide engaging and adaptive virtual instruction to K-12 students in a traditional educational environment.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, educators, and support staff to foster a nurturing and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor and document students’ progress while adapting teaching strategies as needed to optimize learning outcomes.
Required Skills
- Strong ability to develop and execute effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Proficient in delivering compelling virtual instruction that resonates with students.
- Excellent collaboration skills to build partnerships with parents and educational staff.
- Competent in tracking and documenting student achievements and adjusting instructional approaches accordingly.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
- Valid certification in Special Education relevant to the state of New Hampshire.
- Demonstrated experience and confidence in creating and managing IEPs.
- Compliance with all necessary clearances for working in public or charter schools.
- Capability to complete a technology screening to verify readiness for virtual teaching.
