Electric Vehicle Inventory Specialist
Position Overview:
Are you ready to start a career helping to save the planet while having fun in one of the most rapidly growing industries in the world? Green Wave Electric Vehicles is New Hampshire’s first dedicated electric vehicle dealer, located in North Hampton, and we are looking for someone who wants to help people purchase an electric vehicle, while also assisting Green Wave with building out and filling up our inventory stocking model.
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Inventory Specialist is responsible for helping to educate customers about the benefits of EV ownership, and supporting them throughout their purchasing process. This includes setting up and conducting appointments, demonstrating electric vehicles, responding to and following up with leads, and conducting vehicle orientations at delivery.
The EV Inventory specialist will also learn the vehicle stocking model at Green Wave, build out our existing criteria and process for purchasing and stocking vehicles, and assist in the purchase process by researching vehicles and current market trends. The EV Inventory Specialist will regularly analyze our stocking position, forecast needs, and work to manage vehicle acquisition throughout the purchasing process.
Qualifications:
- Valid driving license and clean driving record, as well as being able to pass a criminal background check.
- College degree highly preferred.
- Positive attitude and friendly approach with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
- Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and commitment to quality.
- Physical requirements: Ability to bend, lift up to 30 lbs, get into and out of all types of vehicles, and sit for extended periods in an office chair.
- Experience with a Customer Relationship Management software, like Salesforce, preferred.
- EV owner highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Becoming knowledgeable and familiar with all the EV and Plug-in Hybrid models in Green Wave’s inventory. Drive all types of electric vehicles to understand how awesome they are.
- Executing Green Wave’s education and solution process with clients during their visit. Documenting customer contact in Salesforce with the appropriate level of detail.
- Creating quotes that match customer needs with available inventory.
- Performing vehicle deliveries with EV orientation, using the standard Green Wave process.
- Analyzing historical sales and market trends in each of the vehicle categories that Green Wave offers and developing a seasonal stocking plan for each category.
- Researching vehicles available for purchase and making purchase recommendations to the leadership team. Participate in ongoing sales.
- Participating in ongoing pricing and re-pricing of inventory with the leadership team.
- Managing transportation from sellers and auctions to Green Wave.
- Managing data in our dealer management system related to vehicle inventory.
- Participating community events to promote EVs. Being an advocate for climate action.
- Because Green Wave takes a whole-team approach to operations, the EV specialist may participate and assist in the following additional activities: Washing cars, transporting vehicles, watering plants, organizing inventory on the lot, charging vehicles, and assisting with social media posts.
- Green Wave’s employee hours are 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10:30-4 p.m. on Saturday. The EV Specialist will be expected to work at least 2 Saturdays per month, and flex that time during the week.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
