Sr. Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer to lead within our team, mentor future stars, and ensure the highest standards of quality across our system release cycles.
About The Role
As a Sr. Software QA Test Engineer, you will assist in overseeing and guiding a talented team of QA specialists while performing all stages of testing to validate functionality, quality, and performance. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring our software solutions meet business and technical requirements, maintaining seamless operations, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing Excellence: Perform end-to-end and regression testing, develop and execute test plans, write complex SQL queries, and track testing progress through JIRA.
- Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of QA engineers to ensure testing objectives and milestones are met. Foster team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Innovation & Process Improvement: Maintain and improve QA processes, suggest best practices, and actively participate in agile ceremonies.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with BSS and IT teams to ensure business requirements are met, assist with data validation, report writing, and support process enhancements.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology or quality assurance, or 7+ years’ experience in quality assurance, technology, or business analysis required
- 5+ years in a role involving system testing, including database, web, and windows GUI applications.
- 5+ years’ experience developing and executing test cases utilizing business requirements and system requirements for database and web applications.
- 3+ years developing and executing complex queries.
- 3+ years’ experience with QA/QC standards and best practices. Experience generating and communicating recommendations for continuous process and tool improvements.
- Expert knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Expert experience with batch processing and with validating batch transactions, logs, and database results.
- Experience identifying and escalating business/project risks and participation in risk mitigation strategies.
- Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies including white box, black box, positive and negative testing.
- Knowledge and experience with the concepts and application of test automation technology and automated test tools.
- Experience testing Mobile websites
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products. Must have strong MS Excel skills.
- Insurance or financial industry experience is a plus.
Location: Portsmouth, NH – Hybrid role

Compensation: The typical starting salary would be between $80k-94k/year, based on qualifications and experience as it relates to our requirements. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary employee bonus plan based on company metric performance as well as a full suite of benefits, listed below.
