About Us:
Homeward Bound Professional Animal Care, LLC has been providing top-notch dog walking services in the Lakes Region since 2011. With over 35,000 visits completed, we treat every pup like family.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for dog walkers to join our team in Gilford, Laconia, Belmont, and Meredith. Walks take place between 10 AM – 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with availability for 2-5 days per week.
Who We’re Looking For:
You’re a great fit if you:
✔ Love dogs and have experience handling them.
✔ Have reliable transportation—this role requires a lot of driving.
✔ Own a smartphone with data and a camera.
✔ Have daily access to email and the internet.
✔ Can pass a background check and drug test.
✔ Are physically fit, able to lift 45 lbs, and walk up to 5 miles per day.
✔ Feel comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and energy levels (including strong leash pullers).
✔ Have great time management skills and can stick to a schedule.
✔ Communicate well—both with clients (writing clear pet care journals) and with our team.
✔ Are responsible, observant, patient, and professional.
✔ Can work occasional holidays if needed.
✔ Can commit to at least 6 months with us.
Job Responsibilities: Walk dogs safely on-leash in all weather conditions.
Keep client homes secure while pets are in your care.
Use our
online scheduling system to track visits and enter pet care journals.
- Receive mileage reimbursement in addition to hourly pay and client tips.
Get
paid training to ensure you're set up for success.
